To meet the demands of turned parts manufacturers, the Tungaloy Corporation has now launched its new TungCut range of grooving and parting-off tooling. This new series enables the end user to conduct a wide variety of functions with a single toolholder that accommodates a large selection of insert types and forms. The new TungCut can conduct internal, external and face grooving, parting, profiling, general turning and undercutting operations to give the end user a complete turning solution. This new innovation provides excellent side force resistance credit to the high clamping rigidity. This improves accuracy, repeatability and surface finish whilst ensuring tool life far exceeds that of competitor product offerings. The TungCut is available with three toolholder shank types to suit the customer. The integral shank holder offers excellent support against side forces whilst the blades with a tool block demonstrate excellent interchange ability and flexibility and the blades with a shank use both the parallel approach and the perpendicular holders. A wide selection of insert grades and compositions make the TungCut series applicable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous materials and also super-alloys. The thicknesses differ for each individual insert for the numerous operations, with the thickness ranging from 1.4 to 8mm. Inserts are available in the AH725, GH130 and TH10 grades to meet the needs of the industry. For each of the individual material types and machining applications, Tungaloy has an insert for the desired result. The individual inserts offer attributes such as well designed rake angles and geometries for smooth chip evacuation and surface finish, high fracture resistance for robust applications and geometries to minimise burrs. Single and double ended inserts are available with chip breakers and ground surfaces to minimize burrs. With such an extensive range of inserts available, the new TungCut is the cutting tool of choice. Total 484 items PDF(1.6MB)
